Peggy Williams Hollowell, 81, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Peggy was born in Sampson County Oct. 13, 1931, to the late Robert Bruce Williams and Bethel Weaver Williams. She was a loving wife and farming partner to her late husband, Carl.
Peggy was the kindest, sweetest mother and ma-ma and a great friend to everyone. She will be missed by all who were blessed enough to know her.
Peggy always enjoyed yard work and gardening, as reflected by her beautiful yard.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Selah Christian Church, of which she was a member. The Rev. Patrick Muston will officiate. Burial will follow in Falling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Peggy is survived by her daughters, Debra Grantham and husband, George, of Goldsboro and Connie Feige and husband, Paul, of Charlotte; grandchildren, Brook Grantham and wife, Teresa, Blake Grantham, Erika B. Allen and husband, Thomas, Leigh Grantham and Tony Smith and Lynn Grantham; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Grantham, Aleiyah Smith, Ava Allen, Camden Smith, Lindsay Smith, Taylor Adams and Kayla Grantham.
She is also survived by her sisters, Jane Kornegay and Hettie Gales and husband, Ray; sister-in-law, Jean Hollowell; special friends, Elaine Artis, James and Louise Sasser; and many special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Seymour Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. and other times at her home.
