Gale Ann DiFrancesca Sprouse, 73, passed away Friday morning at Lifecare Hospitals in Rocky Mount.
A funeral service will be held this evening at 6 in the Shumate-Faulk Chapel with the Rev. Dodd Parrish officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
She was the daughter of the late Salvatore Thomas and Naomi Hastings DiFrancesca, and wife of the late Clarence "Sarge" Sprouse.
Mrs. Sprouse is survived by a son, Timmy and Tammy Sprouse of Colonia, N.J.; a daughter, Anna Hogan and Wade Lunde of Goldsboro; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Sprouse of Goldsboro; a brother, Salvatore T. DiFrancesca of Okla.; seven grandchildren, Shane, Jessica and Tyler Hogan , Christy and Jerry Hamilton, and Amanda and Kimberly Sprouse; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Hogan and Carley Hamilton; a sister-in-law, Dinah Sprouse of Waldorf, Md.; and a nephew, Ray and Beverly Sprouse of Md.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sprouse was preceded in death by a son, Billy Sprouse, and a son-in-law, Bill Hogan.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the charity of ones choice.
