DEEP RUN -- Ruby Lee Barwick Garris, 91, 576 Edward Grady Road, died Saturday at LaGrange Gardens.
Funeral will be Monday, Nov, 12, 2012, at 2 p.m. Monday, at Pink Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Brown officiating. Buriall will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
Mrs. Garris was a loving mother, grandmother and a friend to all. She was predeced in death by her husband, Marvin Garris, an infant son, and her sister, Mildred Thomas.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin "Mac" Garris Jr. and wife, Susan, of Wilmington; Johnny Garris and wife, Jo Ann, of Albertson; grandchildren, Lynley Garris Herring, Wendy Garris Tyson, Tina Garris Dunlow and husband, Jeff, Tim Rhodes and wife, Diane, Michael Rhodes and wife, Wendy, Wendy Clemens and husband, Mark; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-grandchild, Brayden McLawhorn; and special friends, Becky Shivar and Carolyn Hamm. Special thanks to Jean Hines and the staff at LaGrange Gardens.
Visitation will be today, Nov. 11, 2012, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home.
