Lillie Ruth Daniels, 78, passed away on Friday morning, Nov. 9, surrounded by her family at her home in Knightdale.
Funeral services will be held today, at 2 p.m., at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with the Rev. Glenn Brock officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow the funeral in Maplewood Cemetery, Mount Olive.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Burroughs and husband, Jeff, of Zebulon, and Kathy Lusk and her husband, Paul, of Knightdale; two sons, Kenneth Daniels and his wife, Anita, of Durham, and Mark Daniels and his wife, Diane, of Zebulon. Mrs. Lillie is also survived by a sister, Edith Costin of Warsaw; two brothers, Cedric "Tom" Britt of Mount Olive, and Wellie Britt and his wife, Cleo, of Mount Olive; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; and four sisters-in-law, Maxine Britt, Jewel Britt, Faye Baker, and Marjorie Barns.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Daniels; her parents, Charlie L. and Lillie Mae Capps Britt; her sister Fannie Jackson; two brothers, Ruffin Britt, and Jim Britt; and two half brothers, Carroll Britt and Charlie Britt, Jr.; and a half sister, Hazel Wiggins.
