Debbie Whiteside, 59, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Debbie was born in Beaver County, Pennsylvania on Aug. 1, 1953 to the late Troxel Dallas Groves and Nellie St. George Groves. For many years Debbie had worked in accounting, but her greatest joy was cooking for others. She was deeply devoted to her family and was happiest when she was spending time in family/friend gatherings.
The family will gather at Seymour Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 p.m. to receive family and friends.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Johnny Whiteside; her daughters, Lisa Campbell and husband, Ernie, and Jamie Friel; her stepson, John Whiteside and wife, Melissa; and her grandson, Greg Williams. She is also survived by her beloved grand-dogs, Cheech, Lexi, Kali, Cooper, Hooch, Sammi, Splinter and Squirt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Ernie Campbell Jr.
Although flowers are appreciated, the family requests memorials may be given, in Debbie's memory, to Seymour Funeral Home, 1300 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
