Daniel George Day, 88, peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at the Loch Raven VA Community Living and Rehabilitation Center in Baltimore, Md. Among his survivors is a daughter, Mrs. Veda McNair, retired Wayne County Schools principal, of Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Southern Baptist Church, 1704 Chester St., Baltimore, where Mr. Day was a lifelong member. He will laid to rest in Baltimore National Cemetery with military honors.
