Jean McLean Anderson, 87, of Apex, died on Oct. 24, 2012.
A visitation was held Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Apex Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Jennies Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, 5256 Beach Drive S.W., Shallotte, NC 28470.
Jean was born in Cumberland County May 9, 1925, to Doyle and Lillie Mae Capps McLean.
Jean worked off and on during her life as a bookkeeper. Jean loved to collect and create beautiful things. She was quite the artist. She loved doll collecting and reading. Later in life, she was known for her red lipstick and beautiful white curls.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Karen Jean Anderson and Nancy Anderson Bowen; son-in-law, John Bowen, and brother, Al Hinson of Goldsboro. She is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Quinn E. Anderson; her parents; sisters, Carmen and Vivian; brother, Vernon; and her stepfather, Aaron Alton Hinson.
