MOUNT OLIVE -- Louise Ezzell Turner, 87, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at Mount Olive Care and Rehabilitation Center.

She had been a longtime resident of East James Street in Mount Olive, and had enjoyed a long association with Buddy's Jewelry in Mount Olive, which was owned and operated by her and her husband, now by her son and his family.

Mrs. Turner is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Pam Turner of Mount Olive; three grandchildren, Scott Mohiser and wife, Sharon, of Goldsboro, Brandi M. Worth and husband, Chris, of Mount Olive and Ramsey Turner of Mount Olive; four great-grandchildren, Turner and Isaac Worth and Brady and Carson Mohiser; a sister, Nancy E. Summerlin of Kenansville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Norwood and Elinor Ezzell of Mount Olive and Gordon Ezzell Jr. and Angela Ezzell of Rocky Mount; another sister-in-law, Patricia S. Ezzell of Dudley; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira T. "Buddy" Turner; an infant son, Danny Turner; her parents, Gordon and Alice Cherry Ezzell; a sister, Ruth E. Smith; and a brother, Sherwood Ezzell.

Funeral services will be held at Tyndall Funeral Home Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 3 p.m., and will be officiated by the Rev. Christopher Turner. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home during the hour before the service, and at other times at the Tommy Turner residence.

Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts may be made to one's favorite charity.
