GLENDON E. MOON
July 29, 1919-April 17, 2012
Glendon Everett Moon, 92, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Glendon was born in Orange County, Ind., July 29, 1919, to the late Albert D. Moon and Ethel Wells Moon.
He served his country during World War II.
Glendon was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Adam Seate officiating. A private inurnment will be held at Willow Dale Cemetery.
Glendon is survived by his son, William A. Moon and wife, Janice, of Goldsboro; his daughter, Elisabeth Moon McAbee and husband, David, of Gastonia; his grandsons, Ben McAbee and Jon McAbee; and his two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Manly Moon, and brother, Ernest Moon.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 21, 2012, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home, 1303 Park Ave. B, Goldsboro.
