FOUR OAKS -- Melvia Johnson Tart, 85, died Sunday at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Minshew Funeral Home. Burial will be at Johnson Family Cemetery.
Born Jan. 29, 1927, in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Ashley and Millie Parker Johnson.
She is survived by a daughter and a son. She was married to Lofton Tart and Carroll Smith.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
