WILLIAM HENDERSON LOVE JR.

KENLY -- William Henderson Love Jr., 82, of Kenly, died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. today, April 8, 2012, at the chapel of Minshew-Coley Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Andrews will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012, at Westhampton Memorial Park in Richmond, Va.

Born July 10, 1929, in Wilson County, he was a son of the late William Henderson Love Sr. and Rena Watson Love.

Mr. Love was truly a gentle man. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

He was also a true craftsman. He retired from the Biggs Antique Co. in Richmond, Va., where he oversaw the production of some of the world's finest authentic reproduction colonial furniture. For the last several years, he worked at the Piggly Wiggly in Tarboro.

He was also a dedicated servant of Christ. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Richmond, Va., and attended West Wilson Church of God in Wilson, where he operated the sound system.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Peacock Renfrow Love, of the home; two daughters, Betsy J. Love of Midlothian, Va., and Brenda Love Honeycutt and her husband, Kenny, of Tarboro; a brother, Raymond Love of Arkansas; two grandchildren, Gayle Carroll of Powhatan, Va., and Jason William Honeycutt and his fiancée, Bekah Parrell, of Greensboro; a great-grandson, Deon Carroll of Powhatan, Va.; a step-daughter, Melinda Renfrow Wall of Kenly; three step-sons, Wallace Renfrow of Smithfield, Nelson Renfrow of Kenly, and Robbie Renfrow of Eureka; six step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Johnson Love, who died Aug. 20, 1990; a brother, Carl Stephen Love; and a grandson, Kent Honeycutt.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Community Development Department, 3HC, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
