CHARLES EDWARD FIELDS

Charles Edward Fields, 66, Grantham community, passed away Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Accoville, W.Va., he was the son of the late Asbury Fields Sr. and the late Stella Smoot Fields.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Webb and Virginia Hensley.
A service to celebrate the life of Charles will be held Thursday, March 8, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with pastor Barry Stallings officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Family members will greet friends Wednesday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Charles is survived by his wife, Vivian Begley Fields; three daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Fields Lane and husband, Marshall Kevin Lane, of Louisburg, Charlene Fields Anderson and husband, Bruce, of Mount Olive and Darlene Fields Tinker and husband, Todd, of Princeton; three brothers, Junior Fields of Holden Beach, Terry Fields of Albemarle and Billy Fields of Michigan; and seven grandchildren.
