Peggy Sutton Edwards, 74, Goldsboro, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2012.
Peggy was born Aug. 30, 1937, in Wayne County to the late James Laurice Sutton and Isabell Worrell Sutton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl "Squirrel" Edwards.
Peggy was a member of Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, and retired from Wayne Memorial Hospital as accounting manager following 40 years of service.
A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Barry Teague officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hill Family Cemetery.
Peggy is survived by a sister, Joan Lane and husband, Pete, of Goldsboro; brother, Robert W. Sutton and wife, Rose, of LaGrange; two nieces, Wanda Deans and Cathy Sutton; along with her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews from the Edwards family.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service, and at other times will be at the home.
