Earl Kenneth Keesee, 84, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Kenneth was born in Halifax County, Va., Jan. 21, 1928, to the late Earl E. Keesee and Malissie Dodson Keesee.

He was a retired master sergeant with the United States Air Force, as well as a former Electrolux supervisor.

After his retirement from the military, he worked with his son at RespraCare of Goldsboro for more than 20 years.

He was a devoted member of Jefferson United Methodist Church, where he served as a lay leader and Sunday school teacher.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with pastor Alice Davis officiating. Interment will be Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Sybil Landrum Keesee of 63 years; his son, Kenneth David Keesee Sr. and wife, Gloria Herring Keesee, of Goldsboro; and his grandchildren, Kenneth David Keesee Jr. and Ashley Jean Keesee.

He is also survived by three sisters, Ann Keesee Campbell and husband, Donald, of Ringgold, Va., Phyllis Keesee Hughes of Midlothian, Va., and Faye Keesee Howard and husband, Donald, of Roxboro.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayland Keesee and Dodson Keesee.

With loving gratitude, the family would like to express its thanks to Christian Caregivers Group and the staff of Kitty Askins Hospice Center for the love and care shown Mr. Keesee during his declining health.

The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
