PRINCETON -- Elbert Millard, 86, Luby Smith Road, Princeton, died Friday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 20, 1925, and was the son of the late Willie Ira and Lessie Strickland Millard.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Millard VonMiller; brothers, Clarence Millard, Carl Millard, Arnold Millard and Rufus Millard; and his twin brother, Elton Millard.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Louise Gregory.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Casey Funeral Home in Princeton. The committal service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday morning at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Margaret Godwin Millard; granddaughter, Erica VonMiller and fiancé, Matthew Cowdrey, of Princeton; great-grandson and Little Man, Tyler A. Howell; great-granddaughter, Summer L. Cowdrey; and sister, Pearl Edwards of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. Tuesday and immediately following the service.
