Died Jan. 28, 2012

ROCKY MOUNT -- Albert Landin, 86, Rocky Mount, passed away in Pitt Memorial Hospital Jan. 28, 2012.

He was a devoted member of Arlington Baptist Church in Rocky Mount.

He served his country in the United States Army during World War II.

He was a member of Woodman of the World in Mount Olive, and was a longtime secretary of the chapter.

His loves were his great-granddaughters, fishing, cooking, woodworking and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Michael.

He is survived by his loving wife, Eunice Landin of the home; daughter, Rebecca and husband, Alex Carozza, of Rocky Mount; two stepsons, Donald Everette of Rocky Mount and Samuel Everette of Ocean City, Md.; three granddaughters, Anita Smith, Melinda Salemi and Julie Williams; and four great-granddaughters, Caitlin and Julie Salemi and Emily and Anna-Grace Smith.

He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Mr. Landin's life will be held at Arlington Baptist Church Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at 11:30 a.m.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. at the church.

Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount.
