Elijah "Buddy" Bryant Pate Jr., 65, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Graveside service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Pineview Cemetery, with the Rev. Linda Burroughs officiating.
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Elijah Bryant Pate Sr. and Ola Mae West Pate.
Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
He is survived by three children.
