WARREN CHARLES LAUGHLIN

Warren Charles "Chick" Laughlin, 87, passed away Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his family.

Warren was born in Columbiana, Ohio, July 5, 1924, to the late William Glen Laughlin and Helen Wilson Laughlin.

For many years, Warren owned and operated Laughlin Poultry Farm Inc.

He was a member of Goldsboro Elks Lodge 139 B.P.O.E., the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion.

Warren was also a member of Walnut Creek Country Club, where he served as past president.

He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II as a second lieutenant.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Columbiana, Ohio.

Warren is survived by his daughters, Connie Kammler and husband, Larry, of Goldsboro and Lou Ann Laughlin and special friend, Dexter Pridgen, of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Brooke Kammler, Casie Grimes and husband, Brooks, and Sarah Walker; and his great-granddaughter, Payton Grimes.

He is also survived by his stepchildren, Jody McNabb and Tom LaFave, and his brother, John Laughlin of Cleveland, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Laughlin, and the mother of his children, Norma Laughlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
