ZEB B. SMITH

LAGRANGE -- Zeb Berry Smith, 84, LaGrange, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2012.
Zeb was born Feb. 20, 1927, in Greene County to the late Guy and Alice Wells Smith.
His wife of 61 years, Elizabeth Ginn Smith, preceded him in death Feb. 22, 2011.
Zeb was a retired farmer, and worked 19 years with Kennedy Home Farm.
Zeb was an avid hunter, and cherished time with his family.
A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Wayne Brown officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Snow Hill Cemetery.
Zeb is survived by three children, Sandra Vaughn of LaGrange, Zeb Franklin Smith and wife, Wanda, of LaGrange and Guy Berry Smith and wife, Vera, of LaGrange; sister, Addie Killette of LaGrange; five grandchildren, Shelly Bailey, Billy Vaughn, Crystal Smith, Dylan Smith and Brandon Smith; three great-grandchildren, Kevin Bailey, Christopher Tubbs and Destiny Vaughn.
In addition to his parents and wife, Zeb was preceded in death by a son, Randy Smith, and a great-grandchild, Steven Hooker Jr.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service of remembrance, and at other times will be at the home.
