PAULINE PORTER PERKINS

Pauline Porter Perkins, 96, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

The family will receive friends today, Jan. 22, 2012, from 4 until 6 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Neuse Friends Cemetery on Black Jack Church Road. At other times, the family will be at the home of LaVee and Randall Coone at 2244 Stevens Mill Road.

Pauline was born in Wayne County on Dec. 17, 1915, to the late Herman and Sallie Rose Porter. She was a member of Falling Creek United Methodist Church. Pauline was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family and set an example for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that will lead them all their lives. She always enjoyed gardening at her home with her husband.

Pauline is survived by her son, Calvin Perkins and wife, Judy, of Goldsboro; her daughters, Elaine Perkins of Smithfield, LaVee Hollowell Coone and husband, Randall, of Goldsboro and Ann Hollowell Hunt of Florida; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Albert Nathan Perkins and Jesse Roland Hollowell, and her son-in-law, Gary Hunt.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Falling Creek United Methodist Church, 299 Falling Creek Church Road, Goldsboro, 27530 or to the maintenance fund of Neuse Friends Cemetery, in care of James Cox, 792 Black Jack Church Road, Goldsboro, 27530.
