PINK HILL -- Deacon John "J.C." Kennon, 80, 1548 Kitty Noeker Road, died Jan. 13 at home.
Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Salem Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Michael Maddox officiating. Burial will be in Branch Cemetery.
Born in Duplin County, he was the son of the late Furnie Kennon and Etta Mae Kornegay Kennon. He was married to Aleth Kennon.
He is survived by seven children.
Visitation will be today from 3 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel.
