DAISY PARKER ROUSE

Daisy Parker Rouse, 91, passed away Saturday at Greendale Forest Nursing Center in Snow Hill.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Kinston, followed by service in the chapel at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Barry Stallings officiating, followed by burial at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Daisy was born in Lenoir County to the late Will Parker and Katherine Huggins.

She was married to the late Jesse Willard Rouse, and lived in the Hugo community.

She was a nursing assistant for more than 20 years, with 10 years of service at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

Daisy is survived by her son, Frederick P. Rouse and wife, Jane, of Pikeville; sister Jean Cole of Pink Hill; and brothers, Buddie Parker of Wilmington and Jerry Parker of Casa Grande, Ariz. In addition, daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Rouse of Grifton, and son-in-law, Ray Dail of Kinston.

She has 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by son, Willard Rouse, Jr., and daughters Brenda Terrell and Joyce Dail.

Flowers are welcome.

The family would like to thank the staff of Greendale Forest for the special loving care she received and also Community Home Care and Hospice.

Edwards Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
