MOUNT OLIVE -- Gladys Campbell Weaver left her diseased and pain-strickened body to join her Lord and savior Sunday night, Dec. 18, 2011.

The 78-year-old Mount Olive resident was the widow of the Rev. George William Weaver, who died Sept. 7, 2011. She faithfully served alongside him as he pastored in numerous Pentecostal Holiness churches in eastern Carolina during his more than 40 years of being a minister.

Mrs. Weaver is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy W. and Glenn Rogers of LaGrange, Rebecca W. and Dewey Hardesty of New Bern and Vickie W. and William "Billie" Elliott of Greenville; a brother and sister-in-law, Hubert S. and Sandra Campbell of Kenly; five grandchildren; and eight grandchildren.

Also surviving are the Weaver brothers, sisters and related families.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Brian Rogers and the Rev. Tim Strickland, along with bishop Jimmy Whitfield.

Visitation will be immediately after the service.

The burial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
