GEORGE MOORE

Mr. George Moore was born Feb. 15, 1947, to the late Frank Moore and the late Lillie Moore Robinson in Mount Olive. He died Dec. 10, 2011.
George received his education from the Wayne County Public School System.
George joined Piney Green Disciple of Christ Church under the pastoralship of his son, apostle Steven C. Moore.
George worked at Mt. Olive Pickle Co., where he retired after 23 years.
George was truly blessed.
He was united in holy matrimony to Laddie Moore Robertson, and to this union a son was born.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Moore; his mother, Lillie Moore Robertson; a sister, Mary Helen Faircloth; and a brother, George Edward Moore.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Laddie King Moore; a son, apostle Steven Craig Moore and his wife, evangelist Donna; three grandchildren, Steven Craig Moore Jr., Alisha Moore and Ashley Moore; two sisters, Ella Louise (Simon) Faison of Yorktown, Va., Minnie (Simon) Faison of Mount Olive; a brother, Luby (Regina) Moore of Mount Olive; two brothers-in-law, Charles L. (Joyce) King of Mount Olive, and L.B. (Audrey) King of Mount Olive; three sisters-in-law, Bessie Pearl Simmons of Goldsboro, Geraldine Faison of Goldsboro and Margaret King of Goldsboro; a very special cousin, Janet Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other loving relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, from 3 to 6 p.m. at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home.
A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Goshen Disciple Church, 720 Suttontown Road, Faison.
Following the services in the sanctuary, Mr. Moore's delicate temple, along with his adored family, will be escorted to Carver Memorial Park for interment rites.
Mr. Moore's earthen vessel is peacefully resting at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home, where the Moore and connected families are receiving prestigious service.
