SONJA JOHNSON SEYMOUR

Sonja Johnson Seymour of Belle, Mo., died Saturday morning Dec. 3 , 2011, in her home.

Sonja suffered from a disease known as Multiple Systems Atrophy that causes symptoms similar to Parkinson's disease. Sonja was born July 1, 1943, in Princeton. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Lillian Pearce Johnson. Sonja was retired from Northern Telecom Communications in Raleigh. In 1994, she married Oral Seymour and they moved to Missouri and made Belle their home. She and Oral are members of Pilot Knob Baptist church.

Surviving Sonja is her husband and primary care-giver, Oral; two sons, Michael and Steven Pulley of Goldsboro; a daughter, Angela Hernandez and husband, Juan, of Hookerton; and two sisters, JoAnn Kascak and husband, David, and Melva Ipock of Goldsboro; five grandchildren, Meagan and Andrew Pulley and Lindsey and Jeffrey Massey and Heather Bryant.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Pulley, three brothers, C.L., Walter Jr., and Glenn Jonson; two sisters, Frances Waters and Lucille Woodard.
