Elizabeth Anne Diaz Pindel unexpectedly went home Tuesday, Oct., 4, 2011, to be with Jesus and other loved ones in heaven.

Elizabeth was born in New York March 25, 1970, to Ricardo V. Diaz and Eileen A. McNamara Diaz of Coconut Creek, Fla.

She was a special education teacher at Greenwood Middle School.

Elizabeth was a true angel having innocence and purity of heart. She shaped the lives of family, friends and students in ways that made them into better people.

Elizabeth will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. She had a great love for teaching, music and Miami Hurricanes. For many years Elizabeth was very active in the Enlisted Spouses Club.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a procession to the base chapel for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 1 p.m. at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base chapel, with Chaplain Baize presiding.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Allen Lee Pindel; her children, Dillon Michael Pindel and Carolynn Elizabeth Pindel; her brother, Richard Diaz and wife, Christine, of Narbeth, Pa.; her nieces, Kathryn and Sadie; her maternal grandmother, Rita Lamas of Coconut Creek, Fla.; her special niece, Rita Marti and husband, Isaac, of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; her father-in-law, Clarence C. Shannon of Jacksonville, Fla.; and her brother-in-law, Anthony Richard Pindel of Norfolk, Va.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the Pindel Education Fund in c/o Allen Pindel at 100 Ralph Drive, Pikeville, N.C., 27863.
