FAISON -- Charles Allen Price, 78, 572 Bill Clifton Road, Faison, died early Wednesday morning, Sept. 21, 2011, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Mae Jordan Price; a son, Steve Corsaro; a brother, Cecil Spaulding Price; and his parents, Allen Richard Price and Cora Millen Price.
He had served for 26 years in the United States Army, with service in both Vietnam and Korea, after which he worked in various construction projects and at Southern Produce in Faison.
He attended Faison Baptist Church.
Mr. Price is survived by his wife, Dorothy McClung Price of the home; seven children and their spouses, Deborah Price and William Sanderson of Kenansville, Charles Craig and Nanci Price of Seminole, Fla., Elaine Price and Larry Bailey of McDonough, Ga., Nicky Jerome Price of Fuquay-Varina, Ronnie Allen and Cindy Price of Greensberg, Pa., Johnny Blake Price of Cleveland, Ohio, and Ronda Price and Gary Bradshaw of Faison; 19 grandchildren, Krystal Baker, Kimberly Twiddy, Tony Price, Ryan Price, Melissa Hammond, Laurie Price, Whitney Studle, Coty Oxford, Misty Price, Sommer Souther, Kortney Walters, Muriah Price, Blakely Price, Levi Price, Logan Price, Carly Price, Kylie Kornegay, Bridgette Smith and Brent Bradshaw; 19 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Muriel Barton of Richmond, Va., and Margaret Brookshire of Florida.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with the Rev. Paul Rose and the Rev. Jackie Hill officiating.
Following the service, the family will remain at the funeral home to receive friends, and at other times, will be at the home.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, in Faison Cemetery with full military honors.
