Beth Sturges Lanier, 66, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at Wake Medical Center.
Beth was born in Wake County Sept. 17, 1945, to the late Alfred Sturges Sr. and Alice Painter Sturges.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Heart of David, with the Rev. Kem Lancaster and the Rev. Samuel Sumner officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Interment will be Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at 11 a.m. in Lanier Family Cemetery.
Beth is survived by her son, Ivy Lanier Jr. and wife, Penny, of Fremont; her daughter, Gina Abrams and husband, Paul, of Garner; her sisters, Louise Hilliard of Burlington and Frances Morris and husband, Braxton, of Raleigh; her brothers, Al Sturges Jr. of Centerville and Tim Sturges of Hollister; her grandchildren, Daniel Abrams, Luke Lanier, Leslie Lanier and Levi Lanier; and several nieces and nephews.
