David H. Lincoln Jr., 64, formerly of New Kensington, Pa. passed into everlasting life on Sept. 6, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family during his departure from life.
Mass services and Rite of Committal will be held Sept. 12, in New Kensington, Pa. A celebration of David's life will be held in Goldsboro as well in the coming weeks.
David was born in New Kensington, Pa., on May 19, 1947. He had a progressive career at Citizens General Hospital in Pennsylvania for 37 years and was the chief respiratory therapist. He also resided in Chicago, Ill., and most recently in Goldsboro, where he was an IT clinical analyst at Wayne Memorial Hospital for five years. David was also the founding leader of the Straight Ahead Band which performed regularly on Pittsburgh's Gateway Clipper. David loved music and was a lead singer, percussionist and also played the bass, guitar and violin. David was a member of St. Mary Catholic Parish in Goldsboro.
David was preceded in death by his father, David H. Lincoln Sr. He is survived by his wife Robin; stepchildren, Kate and Isaac; his mother, Evangeline; his sister, Jacqueline; and devoted niece, Michelle. David is also survived by his brothers, Alan, Henry and Christian Shaw, all of Goldsboro; nieces, Kayshala and Shavonne; nephews, Montel and Lance; and aunts, uncles, cousins, loving friends, co-workers, and his brothers and sisters in Christ.
