WAYNE L. LANNING

KINSTON -- Wayne Leroy Lanning, 68, of Kinston, passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2011.
The family will receive friends today, Aug. 7, 2011, from 2 until 5 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lanning, 406 Firetower Road, LaGrange. Services will be held later this week in Ohio.
Wayne was born March 30, 1943, in Dennison, Ohio, to Helen Garner Lanning of Kinston and the late Walter O. Lanning. Wayne retired from Wall-Lenk as a machinist. He took great pride in his yard, enjoyed woodworking, decorating for Christmas and RV traveling.
In addition to his mother, Wayne is survived by his wife of 23 years, Molly Lanning; three daughters, Tonya Nayler of Newcomerstown, Ohio, Raquel Boyd of Newcomerstown, Ohio and Wendy Morlock of Strasburg, Ohio; brother, Glen Lanning and wife, Donna, of LaGrange; sister, Donna Quinn of Kinston; five stepchildren, Gary Thompson of Uhrichsville, Ohio, Tanya Thompson of Minerva, Ohio, Tara Bright of Uhrichsville, Ohio, Karen Jo Smith of Gnadenhutten, Ohio, and Raymond Van Lane of Florida; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
