Glennwood Earl Radford, 62, died Sunday at Wake Med from congestive heart failure.

Glenn was born in Wayne County March 31, 1949, to the late William Earl and Hilda Bass Radford.

He was a member of Spring Hill Original Free Will Baptist Church.

Glenn was a good son, father, grandfather and brother.

He loved the outdoors, plowing his garden, working in his Christmas trees and making his yard pretty with his flowers.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by his funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Lewis Forsythe officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

He leaves behind a son, Chris Radford; a grandson, Jacob Radford; two sisters, Carol Knight and Betty Hollowell; a special friend, Susie Holmes; nieces, Lisa Craig, Amy Hartley and Carla Massengill; nephews, Nolan Knight and Mike Hollowell; and two special uncles, Mac Radford and Donald Bass.

The family wishes to thank the special nurses and doctors at Wayne Memorial Hospital and Wake Med.
