RICHMOND, Va. -- Raymond Faison Jr., 45, Richmond, Va., formerly of Goldsboro, was born Dec. 16, 1965, to the late Raymond Faison Sr. and Elizabeth Bizzell Faison. He departed this life April 4, 2011, in Richmond, Va.

He graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1984. He attended Mount Olive College from 1984 until 1986.

Later, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served his country from 1987 until 1991.

He was employed by Ryder Truck Rental Co., where he worked as an automobile technician.

Beautiful memories will forever be etched in the hearts of many such as his loving mother, Elizabeth Bizzell Faison of Dudley, N.C.; a sister, Eugenia Ann Darden (Gerry) of Goldsboro, N.C.; godparents, Allen Bizzell (Mary) of Maryland; godbrother, Jimmy Oates Jr.; 10 aunts; 10 uncles; two great-aunts; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday at 12 noon at Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church in Seven Springs. After which, the E.M. Matthews classic angelic white fleet will escort Mr. Faison, along with his adored family, to Carver Memorial Park in Mount Olive for interment rites.

Mr. Faison's earthly temple is peacefully resting at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home, where the Faison family is receiving services of compassion and distinguished class.
