PIKEVILLE -- Mary Ethel Collier, 96, 109 E. Vail St., Pikeville, died April 8, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held Monday, April 11, 2011, at 11 a.m. in Pikeville Cemetery.
Ethel was born in Wayne County on Feb. 7, 1915, to the late John William and Martha Radford Collier. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrtle Strickland and Thelma Caison.
Ethel is survived by seven nieces and nephews, Dorothy Lee Colie of Kinston, Betty Jean Littleton of Pikeville, Donald R. Strickland of Goldsboro, Charles Larry Strickland of Pikeville, Myrtle Kay Peele of Fremont, Marvin Ray Strickland of Goldsboro, and Earl Pate of Eagle Neb., and several nieces and nephews.
