HUBERT ANTHONY BEST

July 8, 1958-March 14, 2011

Hubert Anthony Best, known as Baby Cake, was born July 8, 1958, in Wayne County to Ms. Emma Jane Best and Mr. Hubert Holsey. He departed this life Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Best was educated in Wayne County Schools.

Mr. Best was employed in the construction field as a cement finisher and sheet rock installer until his health would no longer allow him to work.

Mr. Best was a member of Word Warehouse, where he attended regularly while fulfilling his desire to gain a deeper understanding of the word of Jehovah God.

He leaves to cherish fond memories his sisters, Laura Best Crawford (Willie), Agnes Edmondson (Milton) and Bertha Johnson; his daughter, Tanisha Best of Raleigh; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

His life will be remembered and celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at Word Warehouse Church, formerly Christ Centered Church, with apostle Dennis Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends at 1908 N. John Court, where it will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
