Charles Glenn Davis, 81, died Sunday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Steven and Lola Davis, and the husband of the late Ruby Davis.

Mr. Davis was retired from Franklin Bakery as a production supervisor.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro. Burial will be Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in Upper Black Creek Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

Mr. Davis is survived by his son, Curtis Wade Davis and wife, Georgia, of Dudley; a sister, Gaynelle Jones of Kenly; and two brothers, Willard Davis of Kenly and Alton Davis of Asheville.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a son, Vernie Davis; a sister, Aileen Barfield; and a grandson, Jesse Davis.
