ORA WADE HOLMES

Ora Wade Holmes, 87, formerly of Mount Olive, passed away Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
At her request, private family services will be held.
She was the daughter of the late George William and Mollie Price Grant, and was married to the late Paul Herring Holmes. Mrs. Wade was a retired nurse and member of Northeast Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, David Hal Holmes and wife, Jenny, of Mount Olive; three daughters, Judy Holmes Pate and husband, J.L., of Mount Olive, Sue Holmes Jennette and husband, Donald, of Grantham, and Ann Holmes Sasser and husband, Jimmy, of Grantham; two sisters, Georgia Grey Grant Price and Rose Grant Daly and husband, Johnny, both of Seven Springs; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Hyman Grant, Harold Grant, George "Sparky" Grant and Joseph "Shorty" Grant.
