LORINE M. LOYD

Lorine Mozingo Loyd, 81, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Lorine was born Dec. 27, 1929, in Nash County to the late Lafayette and Rella Moss Mozingo.

Lorine graduated from Warsaw High School and Medical Lab School at Smithfield Hospital.

She worked for many years as a medical lab technician.

Lorine was a member of Pineview Baptist Church, and was very active in the mission programs.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Pineview Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Turbyfill officiating. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

Lorine is survived by her brother, Ernest Mozingo and wife, Thelma, of New Bern; her sisters, Doris Yates of Winston-Salem, Betty Brown and husband, Gilbert, of Goldsboro and Catherine Lowder and husband, Jack, of Manning, S.C.; her four stepchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Martin, and second husband, Walter Loyd.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mission Program at Pineview Baptist Church at 3357 U.S. 117 North, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530, or a charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Pineview Baptist Church, and other times at the home of Gilbert and Betty Brown at 668 Buck Swamp Road, Goldsboro.
