Retired Master Sergeant Robert Lee Burden, 70, Goldsboro, died Feb. 12, 2011 at Pitt Community Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
The funeral was held Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, in New York. Burial followed in Beech Plains Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Matthews Burden of Goldsboro; two sons; and one daughter.
He was born May 13, 1940, in Coffeeville, Miss., son of the late Clifton B. and Mary K. Lyles Burden.
Local funeral arrangements were by Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
