Jo Ann Hood, 79, 608 Lynch Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., went to be with her Lord Feb. 6, 2011.
Born in Nash County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Virginia C. Williams Gwaltney.
She was a member of Love Memorial Baptist Church.
The family will greet friends at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home from 12 to 1 p.m. Thursday, with the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Richard Tolar officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hood is survived by her husband, retired United States Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Ralph Hood; her daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Donald Hulbert of Troy; her son, Danny and fiancé, Cindy George, of Goldsboro; four grandchildren, Kelsey Hood and Kegan Hood both of Goldsboro, Shaun Hood of Ft. Hood, Texas, and Jason Blaine; a great-granddaughter, Crystal Haithcock of Saulston.
