LAGRANGE -- David Earl Whitfield, 53, LaGrange, passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011.
David was born Sept. 17, 1957, to George Richard "Dick" Whitfield and Peggy Wade Whitfield of LaGrange.
David enjoyed reading, watching sports, fishing and studying the Bible.
A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, at 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tony McLamb officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery.
In addition to his parents, David is survived by two children, David Earl Whitfield Jr. and Pattie Marie Whitfield both of LaGrange.
David was preceded in death by a sister, Pattie Joyce Whitfield.
The family will receive friends Tuesday following the service, and at other times they will be at the home.
