WILLARD C. "JUNE BUG" THOMPSON

Willard Carlton "June Bug" Thompson, 74, Willard Lane. passed away Saturday afternoon at his residence.
He was the son of the late Lonnie and Ethel P. Thompson, and the husband of Sandra Sloan Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was owner and operator of Country Acres Mobile Home Park.
A funeral service will be held Monday evening at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with Dr. Larry Withrow and the Rev. Tony McLamb officiating. Committal services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends following the funeral service Monday evening.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Thompson is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Page and Martin Varnell of Kinston and April and Gene Parrish of LaGrange; grandchildren, Jared Jones, Madison Cottle, Bailey Parrish, Taylor and Emily Varnell; sisters, Carol Brock of Beautancus and Brenda Thompson of Wilmington; and special friends, Jackie Paul and Ann Rivenbark of Goldsboro.
