JANESSA BETH BATCHELOR

March 19, 1987-Nov. 21, 2010

WILMINGTON -- Janessa Beth Batchelor was born March 19, 1987, to amazing parents, Charles and Brenda Batchelor. She was born and raised in Bellevue, Neb., with her siblings, Kylee, Brady and Aubriana.

To begin to explain the life of this loving girl and her impact on the world would take more than this mere article.

Janessa was a child of God. She lived energetically for Him and saw the world through His eyes. She has touched the lives of countless people, and did so in the simplest of ways: A smile, a hug, an invite to game night, an oddball joke or dance, always just being herself with her stunning natural beauty.

Nov. 21, 2010, our sweet Janessa met with Jesus and surely stole his heart as she did ours from the moment she arrived in our lives.

She fought her battle with leukemia hard and courageously, but in the end she closed her big brown eyes and left us with memories of a girl that will last a lifetime.

Janessa is survived by her parents, Charles and Brenda Batchelor of Bellevue, Neb.; siblings Kylee, Brady and Aubriana of Bellevue, Neb.; grandparents John and Peg Brady of Goldsboro, N.C., and Ed and Jan Batchelor of Spring, Texas; and family and friends too numerous to mention in print.

A celebration of Janessa's life will be held tonight (Wednesday, Nov. 24) at 6 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home, 1500 Wayne Memorial Drive in Goldsboro.

A celebration will also be held in Bellevue, Neb., sometime next week.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Janessa Batchelor Fund, Wachovia Bank, 301 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530. Memorials may also be sent to the SECU Family House at 123 Old Mason Farm Road Chapel Hill, N.C., 27517.

"Camp Janessa" will miss our daughter, sister, cousin, granddaughter, niece and dear friend, but we know she is still looking upon us with those beautiful eyes.

Thank you to all of our family and friends for your constant prayers, support and comfort. We love you all.
