Inez Malinda Sutton, 86, passed away peacefully Monday at her home.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Lawton and Inez Oates Hines, and wife of the late Benjamin F. Sutton.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
No formal services will be held.
She is survived by a daughter, Mina Sutton Waller of Mount Olive; a son, Bennie Sutton and wife, Joyce, of Dover; two sisters, Evelyn Warren of Faison and Gwen Jones of Dudley; seven grandchildren, Sandee Scott Waller, Melanie Waller, Angie Waller Cooke, Susan Hardison, J.J. Godley, Heather Sutton Banks and Melinda Sutton; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Sutton was one of 10 daughters. She was preceded in death by sisters Margaret Scott, Georginia Burch, Signa Drewery, Tony Bumgardner, Sally Britt, Kathleen Grice and Herby Jones. A son, Freddy Sutton, and a daughter, Linda Gail Sutton, also preceded her in death.
