NATHAN ROEMELLO GIBSON

Nathan Roemello Gibson, 16, of Day Circle, Goldsboro, was born on April 14, 1994 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. In the calm and stillness of the early morning, God sent his angel to call Nathan to rest in the arms of Jesus on Nov. 11, 2010.

He attended Goldsboro High School and was respected and loved in his community. Early in his life he gave himself to Christ, our Lord. He attended Goldsboro Worship Center.

He leaves to cherish precious memories of his parents: Trimira Gibson and Phil Butler of Goldsboro; two brothers: Joshua Gibson and Tyshawn Jones of Goldsboro; a sister: Shamara Gibson of Goldsboro; paternal grandparents: George R. Gibson Sr. and Helen L. Gibson and Stella Wells and Bruce Wells; uncles: George R. Gibson Jr., Benard Butler and Richard Butler; God aunts: Sopphiea "Nell" Washington, Dori McCullen, Sharon Atkinson, Theresa Uzzell; a beloved brother in Christ: Patrick Lechner. A host of cousins, friends, great aunts and great grandparents.

A viewing for Mr. Gibson will be held on Thursday from 4 until 7 p.m. at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Goldsboro Worship Center. Afterwhich, Mr. Gibson, along with his cherished family will be escorted to Old Mill Cemetery for farewell rites.

Although this young soul only walked this life for a short time, the beautiful memories he left will give comfort to all that knew him and remain, now that he is resting in the hands of his Heavenly Father.
