Justine Pearsall Howell, 85, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Justine was born in Wayne County June 19, 1925, to the late Emmitt Gordon Pearsall and Nellie Hollowell Pearsall. She was married to the late Oscar Edward "Ed" Howell.
Justine graduated from Nahunta High School in 1942, and was the valedictorian of her class.
In 1944, she worked as a junior clerk typist at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
Justine worked for many years with Sears and Roebuck.
She had a great love for her cats, Slither and Melanie.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating.
She is survived by her niece, Wanda Werner of Greenville, S.C.; her great-niece, Angela Yeratt of Virginia; a cousin, Sabra Pittman of Princeton; and a great-great-nephew, Blake Nathaniel Yeratt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wayne County Animal Shelter at P.O. Box 227, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
