John Arthur Edwards Jr. and Rose Marie Sherman announce the birth and death of a daughter, Aaliyah Marie Edwards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Corcoran presiding. Burial will follow at Ever-green Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Robert and Michelle Sherman, 202 Massey St., Goldsboro.
In addition to her parents, Aaliyah is survived by four brothers, Andrew and Alex Sherman, Malijah Nicholas and Farrad Edwards all of the home; maternal grandparents, Robert and Michelle Sherman of Goldsboro; paternal grandparents, John and Betsy Ramey of Goldsboro and John Arthur Edwards of Newark, N.J.; and maternal great-grandparents, Stella Payne of Goldsboro, the late Nicholas Payne and Ova and Rose Sherman of Michigan.
