DUDLEY -- Brittainy Noel Heise, 18, 214 Odom Farm Road in Dudley, died Friday at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill following a brief illness.

She was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church, and attended Whitley Pentecostal Holiness Church.

A service to celebrate the life of Brittainy will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Emmaus Baptist Church, with the Rev. Johnny Sasser and the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating.

The family will greet friends Tuesday immediately following the funeral service at the church. Burial will follow in Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery.

Brittainy is survived by her mother and stepfather, Gyla Lynn and Bobby Lee Darden of Dudley; her father, Dwight William Heise of Ohio; her maternal grandparents, Cheryl and Dave Coon of California and Guy David and Joyce Jordan of Texas; her paternal grandmother, Glenna Heise of Ohio; her stepgrandparents, Julia Darden of Dudley and Carol Heise of Ohio; a brother, Harold William Heise II of Ohio; and a sister, Havala Heise of Dudley.

The family requests that memorial gifts to help with funeral expenses be directed to Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, P.O. Box 167, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.
