DOLLIE RAE MOORING FOREHAND

March 1, 1926-July 26. 2010

PIKEVILLE -- Dollie Rae Mooring Forehand, born March 1, 1926, to the late Arthur "Bud" Mooring and Obeliah Blow Mooring, went to be with her Lord and savior Monday, July 26, 2010, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was married to the late Frank C. Forehand for almost 60 years.

Mrs. Forehand loved God, her family and her church.

She was a member of Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, which she joined in 1946. She taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School for many years. She was very active in the ladies auxiliary, having served as president, vice president, secretary-treasurer, card chairman, flower chairman and food chairman. She was honored as Woman of the Year in 1966.

Mrs. Forehand was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her loving family, sons, Kenneth E. Forehand (Jo) and Randy "Pete" Forehand (Celeste') of Pikeville; daughter, Connie F. Wiggins (the Rev. Marvin Wiggins) of Goldsboro; sisters, Lillie Mae Overman of Nahunta and Louise Cunningham of Wilson; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Mooring and brothers, Arthur Jr., Marvin, Donald, Elmer and Robert Mooring.

Homegoing services will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at 7 p.m. at Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, with Dr. Don Sauls and the Rev. Tom Dorman officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Forehand Cemetery in Pikeville.
