JOSEPH M. RUSHING

ROCK CAVE, W.Va. -- Joseph M. Rushing, 63, of Rock Cave, W. Va., formerly of Goldsboro, N.C., died at United Hospital Center Sunday, July 11, 2010.
He was born Dec. 23, 1946, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, son of the late Joseph Elton and Jessie Marie Griffith Rushing.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Rushing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Joseph W. Rushing of Goldsboro, N.C.; a daughter, Michele Green of Powhatan, Va.; two grandchildren, Jessica and Justin Agcaoili; and a sister, Minelle Paloff of Mount Pleasant, Texas.
Mr. Rushing was a former owner of Byteback Computer in Goldsboro, N.C.
He was a retired senior master sergeant with the United States Air Force.
Friends will be received at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel Thursday, July 15, 2010, from 10 to 11 a.m., the funeral hour, with pastor David Jessie officiating. Interment will follow in Indian Camp Cemetery. Buckhannon VFW Post No. 3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post No. 7, American Legion and DAV Chapters No. 5 and No. 36 will conduct military honors at the graveside.
