CHARLES CLEVESTER ROWE

Charles Clevester Rowe, 75, known by her family and friends as "Charlie," of 4761 Ward Blvd., Wilson, and formerly of Fremont, departed this earthly walk of life on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at 11 a.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., with Eldress Martha Rowe officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Mill Cemetery, 2925 Central Heights Road. A public viewing will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010, from 3 until 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home. Also, a wake will be conducted July 12, 2010, from 6 until 7 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home.

Charles was the son of the late Malion and Mae Cora Blackmon Rowe and was born Jan. 10, 1935, in Wayne County.

"Charlie" was preceded in death by a son, Alvin Bernard Brown; a brother, Malion Rowe, Jr. and a sister, Jo Ann Wactor.

Mr. Rowe leaves to cherish her loving memories five daughters, Majorie Hodges of Greensboro, Susie Day of Maryland, Wanda Rowe Vasquez, Stephanie Rowe and Mia Rowe of New York; a son, Desi Rowe of New York; a brother, James J. Rowe and wife, Eldress Martha Rowe, of Goldsboro; a sister, Maxine Edwards of Goldsboro; a special cousin, Bobby Rowe and wife, Nettie, of Maryland; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

At other times, the family will receive other family members and friends at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. James J. Rowe, 209 Graham St.
